We recently packed up the cars and drove to Utah to visit our family. This was a big family affair so we were fortunate to have Grandma & Grandpa Y and Aunt Bethany & Uncle Josh along for the ride (thank goodness, I don’t think we would have survived the 21 hour/3 day trip without
help!)
On our drive out there we decided to stop and visit the Grand Canyon. The first evening we were there Justin and I were able to spend some alone time watching the sunset and enjoying the peace and quite of this spectacular place.
The next morning we all headed out to do the grand tour of the South Rim. We did quite a bit of walking and it was hot, but the kids were such troopers!
After an eventful day at the Grand Canyon we loaded everyone back in the cars to make the 4 hour drive to my grandparents farm.
While there we enjoyed visiting with grandparents & cousins, riding horses, making mudpies, exploring on the Rhino’s, watching the big trucks & tractors, lazy afternoons outside, great food and the mountains.
Aubrey loved playing beauty salon with her cousins and riding the horse.
Piper loved riding the horse and kept busy playing with her baby and the stroller (she wouldn’t let anyone near it!)
Parker was in heaven with all the big trucks, tractors and his favorite “driving” the Rhino.
We are very fortunate to have been able to spend some time with our wonderful grandparents and only wish we were closer so we could do it more often!
After a few days on the farm we loaded back up to drive North so we could visit Grandma B and the other cousins. We helped grandma do some yard work (she has a beautiful yard, I dream of one day having something so grand!) enjoyed hanging out with cousins, playing legos & barbies, afternoon naps on the porch swing and ice cream at Leatherby’s.
It was so nice to see family and enjoy the cooler temperatures and mountain air. We took a million pictures, but I was kind and only included a few! 
After a great visit we load up the crew and headed back to Texas. I can’t believe the trip went as well as it did and we are still talking to all of our family members.
