A month later I am finally getting around to posting some pictures of our trip to Utah. We took a trip June 27-July 5 to Utah to visit our family. We went with Grandma & Grandpa Y, Aunt Bethany and Josh. We had a blast and enjoyed doing lots of fun activities. The kids were even great with all the traveling, new surroundings and varied schedules.We took a day trip to Bryce National Canyon. We took Aubrey with us and left the twins with Grandma Great. We got out and looked at beautiful rock formations, had lunch at the old lodge and hiked the loop (Aubrey was such a trooper)
The next day we got to do what everyone loves to do when we go to Utah…PLAY in the MOUNTAINS. We took the beautiful drive up the mountain to where my Aunt Evelyn’s family has their trailers parked (with lots of fun toys). It was heavenly to be outside enjoying the cool air. Everyone had fun playing on 4 wheelers, riding the Rhino, boating at the lake, roasting hotdogs and marshmallows and even playing in the snow.
What trip to Grandma and Granpa Greats would be complete without some horseback riding? We weren’t sure how Aubrey would like this, but to our surprise she LOVED it. She even got to ride her very own pony which she didn’t want to get off. Her grandpa asked her if she wanted a pony and she enthusiasticly responded “Yes, can I have one.” Good job grandpa!
We were lucky enough to celebrate a cousins birthday party (at the pool) and the 4th of July while there. The town had a parade (complete with candy being thrown) and a party at the park to kick of the 4th of July celebration. The kids had a blast watching the parade, grabbing candy, eating yummy treats and wining a gold fish. Needless to say they were exhausted and ready for naps when we left.
We made some wonderful memories while on our trip and are so grateful for the opportunity we had to visit family. I can’t wait until we get to go back again! Here are a few more (I know like I need to add any more pictures…) of my favorites.
